Hi. Here’s a little bit about me…
I have more than ten years of experience in marketing and communications, and the majority of my work has been in the nonprofit sector thus far. But words, above all else, have been my passion for as long as I can remember.
Writing and editing projects have included stories and articles, direct mail materials, website copy, blog posts, advertising and brochure copy, video scripts, talking points and speeches, executive communications, press releases, proposals and presentations, impact and annual reports, program books, email and digital marketing content.
I studied English and received a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from the University of Memphis. I have received additional education/professional development through The Copywriter’s Workshop from National Seminars Training, and the League of American Orchestras Leadership Seminar Patron Growth & Advancement: An Integrated Approach to Sales, Fundraising, & Loyalty. I am a member of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, the American Copy Editors Society, the Association of Independent Writers and Editors, The Writer’s Place, and the American Marketing Association.
Through my most recent position, I co-authored a full-length story in a nationally-distributed magazine with a readership of one million and also published online. The article, which is about an alternative energy-focused high school agricultural education program appeared in FFA New Horizons magazine and FFANewHorizons.org.
